At top of NRL table, Penrith joins St George Illawarra after 22-12 win over Broncos in Brisbane
Penrith has joined St George-Illawarra at the top of the NRL table with a 22-12 win over the Broncos in Brisbane.
The result halts the Broncos' five-game winning streak.
Gold Coast face a taxing month without skipper Scott Prince after badly missing his leadership and composure in a nail-biting 25-24 win over the error-prone Bulldogs. Prince tore his hamstring midway through the first half and his absence was sorely evident as the Titans gave up a seemingly unassailable 24-6 lead.
