Competition within the squad is a key for Warriors 23 July 2010
Five wins in a row and a playoff spot looms for the Warriors - the competition is keen to get in the starting 13
Competition for places in the Warriors starting lineup is being credited with helping them to five wins on the trot in the NRL.
They are sitting pretty in fifth place on the table behind the Roosters on points differential and head to Sydney for Sunday's vital clash with the wounded Rabbitohs, who have lost their last two games and are looking to stay alive in the top eight race.
Centre Lewis Brown says everyone is putting their hand up for a spot which is keeping him on his toes. He says he is not going to get complacent because he knows how hard it is to keep a spot in the starting lineup.
Brown says their lift in training intensity has helped the team in preparation for matches.
Warriors coach Ivan Cleary says the ninth placed Bunnies have their season on the line. He says both sides will be throwing everything at it and with the Rabbitohs a very physical side, it will be tougher than usual.
Cleary says he feels the Warriors are in the best mental space he has seen all season.
