The Kiwi doubles tennis player has spent the summer in Auckland and was due to fly to Melbourne on Saturday to begin his Australian Open preparations.
However Australia's extended its suspension of quarantine-free travel from New Zealand another 72 hours - now lapsing on Sunday, at 4pm.
He's managed to switch his flight from Saturday to Tuesday, and is hopeful he can still play at an ATP tournament next week, partnering with compatriot Marcus Daniell.
